The Score Milk Interview Series
Over the past three weeks we have brought you interviews from core team members Jose, Drew, and Calvin. The intention of the interview series is to allow the crypto community get to know the people behind Score Milk before we launch.
Score Milk Team Member – George
This week we would like to introduce you to George who is one of the founders of Tron Spark. George’s involvement with Tron Spark started back in 2018 when a small group of Tron supporters came together to vie for an SR spot. Since then George has helped solidify the Tron communities’ support for Tron Spark. As a result Tron Spark has been a consistent and dependable SR who currently has over 352 Million votes.
Tell us a bit about yourself.
I believe that life is short and that you have to live accordingly. Everything in life is also a trade-off, therefore, you have to find that happy balance in your life. In terms of a career, I have a BS in Electrical Engineering and have been working in my field since 2001. My emphasis has been real-time system reliability in the Bulk Electric System. Beyond that, I love to travel the world, eat sushi, collect rarities, and enjoy my time with family and friends. For me, traveling is a passion.
When did you first get involved with Tron?
I first got involved with altcoins in August of 2017. As the altcoin season got under way, a few friends and I created a Telegram group to do some research on projects that will lead the way in blockchain Innovation. That’s when a buddy of mine came across Tron. After doing a bit of research, we all concluded that it was a good investment and that the project had merit.
Was Tron Spark your idea?
No, Tron Spark came about in the summer of 2018 when I was out of the country on vacation. As soon as I got back, a buddy messaged me and told me to check out a website he had created. He had already created the Tron Spark website. After pitching me his vision for Tron Spark, I joined the team. Less than a week later, we became one of the first 27 Super Representatives for Tron.
How did Score Milk come about?
The concept behind Score Milk came about soon after NiTron 2019. In the conference, we had met other individuals, including a few developers, who were interested in developing an application on Tron. That’s when the wheels started to turn and different ideas were tossed around. Of all the ideas, we felt that the concept behind Score Milk had the most promise and that it would be a perfect fit for the Tron ecosystem.
How did you fund the project?
The project has been funded via our own funds as we firmly believe in the project. Nonetheless, we did have some help. In January of 2020, the Tron Foundation rewarded the Super Representatives for the work that they had done over the last 2 years. Instead of cashing in on the rewards, we put the rewards towards the development costs of building the platform. This put everything into high gear.
Do you think Score Milk will be a success?
You better believe it. We have an amazing team behind the project. We understand the challenges that come with building an online gaming platform. This is why we have carefully designed our platform to overcome these challenges in order to become the leader in skill-based 1v1 gaming.
