TRON 4.0 is just three weeks away from going live next month and with this upcoming launch, TRON Foundation has introduced TRONZ Smart Contract Privacy Protocol, which was known as an integral part of the TRON 4.0 that took a year in development and looking forward to revolutionizing the future of blockchain.

What is TRONZ Smart Contract Privacy Protocol?

It is a smart contract privacy protocol supported by a virtual machine and this protocol will mark the first time for a smart-contract powered blockchain to implement zk-SNARKs.

zk-SNARKs is the key security technology of ZCash blockchain and with this added security feature, it was told that a transaction can be performed without disclosing information such as the amount of the deposit.

TRONZ Foundation held its first non-profit MPC Torch Project last January and this attracted 196 crypto community members participating from various countries and industries. The total participants have outnumbered those of the Zcash MPC Project, leading it to become the world’s largest MPC Project while providing the initial credible parameters for privacy protocol.

TRONZ Foundation has completed a public test on shielded transactions, deployed TestNet, and implemented instructions for zk-SNARKS in TVM.

This security feature will provide support to all TRC20 tokens, maintain adequate funds and active developers, also keep it 100% open-sourced, available to all at no additional cost.

With the launch of TRON 4.0 next month, the TRONZ Smart Contract Privacy Protocol will be released as an added security feature on the TRON (TRC20) network. TRON has been working steadily on developing a safe public chain in compliance with global regulations and policies.

BTT Airdrops to halt for TRX holders

The BTT airdrop program was started by the BitTorrent Foundation in 2019 to provide additional functionalities to TRX holders who can use BTT to improve download and upload speeds using BitTorrent Speed, BTFS and the BitTorrent Protocol.

Last June 13, after 16 rounds of BTT airdrops and discussions with the BitTorrent Foundation, it was decided to discontinue the airdrop program with immediate effect as the community believes that the BTT airdrop to TRX holders has achieved its goals.

As of the moment, BitTorrent Foundation will reserve all of the remaining 74,002,500,000 BTT as rewards for the BitTorrent community to encourage their participation in distributed file storage, seeding, and transmission activities.
