In the world of Tron, there are many Super Representatives to choose from. Most Tron supporters, aside from wanting TRX rewards, are looking for Super Representatives that will bring value to the Tron ecosystem. After all, it is our hard earned cash on the line. In this article, I am going to discuss something that many say may not be in Tron Spark’s best interest. But that is what we are here for. Our mission is to inform and educate so that the Tron ecosystem grows and flourishes thanks to a well informed community. And by doing that, Tron Spark will be doing its part.

Tron Society: An Up and Comer

There are many Super Representative candidates out there trying to make it to SR. I know very well that it is not an easy battle. On the request of some Tron community members, I decided to start digging for one candidate that has the potential to make a difference for the Tron community. I began looking at the top candidates and started going through their tronscan page. From the get go, the one that caught my eye was Tron Society. Out of intrigue, as curiosity always kills the cat, I entered their Telegram group  and simply observed. They had under 260 members in their group when I first joined. Now they are sitting on 735. That’s a big jump in just a few weeks.

Having a bunch of followers isn’t everything, so I started to ask questions. The more I asked, the more I saw the potential they had. I did notice that they are a very young group of guys/gals. Nonetheless, they have a very talented team with very good intentions. Not only that, but their founder, Marius Gill, is the winner of the $100k loan from Tron thanks to his Tron Wallet dAPP. That is not an easy accomplishment.

Founding Tron Society

Marius Gill started programming from the early age of 13. At age 19, he won the mobile Tron wallet competition. That’s a hell of an accomplishment. At 19, I think I was partying with a bunch of frat guys and skipping my C programming class. On a side note, believe it or not, I own Tron because one of those frat guys recommended it to me. That’s the honest truth. So back to Marius, yes he is definitely a youngblood. But talented young individuals like him are what we need leading the Tron community. Marius Gill’s Tron Wallet project resulted in being a multifunctional wallet that combines cold, hot and watch only functionality. Also, the wallet does not use the Tronscan API which is why they haven’t had the issues that other wallets have recently had. In terms of adoption, it currently has over 20,000 new device installs and over 30,000 total downloads on the Google Play store. The Tron team was so impressed by his work that they encouraged him to continue working on the iOS version. Tron then awarded Marius with a $100k loan for him to continue working on the iOS dAPP. Is that impressive or what? Regardless to say, he then open sourced the project. He went on to say:

The chance of award is less significant to me than getting involved and sharing experiences with peers in the TRON community so that I get more time for test and optimization. To get it better. That’s why I made it opensource early.

Where is Tron Society Now?

Tron Society is currently sitting with 37.8 million votes for Tron Super Representative. That is a good amount of followers who are biting the bullet for them. Why biting the bullet? Because as a candidate, and not yet an SR, the rewards that they provide will not make an impact if rewards are what you want. Keep in mind that only Super Representatives get rewards for each block they produce. Tron Society is only getting approximately 2,165 TRX per day (460,800 x 0.0047). What does Tron Society need? In essence, Tron Society needs more people who see the value that they can provide to the community and the ecosystem. But, regardless, they have something planned which may change everything.

In an interview with representatives from Tron Society, this is what they said:

While we are working on the development of new projects, interacting and working with the community is the most important thing for us.

Tron Society

We all know that every gaming dapp wants to be an SR. Is that going to help the community? Maybe. Possibly in some cases yes and in others no. These guys are working with the community, whether it is involving the creation of dApps or simply guiding and assisting the community.

The Game Changer: 100% Rewards for a Month!

Tron Society will give 100% rewards to their voters for the entire first month of being an SR. Personally, I would love to give this young group a chance. Not for the rewards, but for what they can offer to Tron community as a whole.
