The global eSports industry has grown at an exponential rate as gaming has soared in popularity over the years and awareness of the industry continues to grow. Professional and regular gamers have also welcomed fans into their world through popular live-streaming platforms such as Twitch, YouTube, and Periscope. According to Statista, in 2018 the global eSports market was valued at $850 Million. This was a 32% increment from the previous year’s value of $655 Million. The industry is projected to be worth $1.096 Billion by the end of 2019.
The Rizex Platform Powered by TRON
As the eSports industry grows, so does demand for participation. However, very few gamers make it to the professional level. Billions of gamers find themselves left out without an avenue to participate in tournaments. Game developers also have no efficient platform to monetize their creative games. This is where Rizex intends to revolutionize the industry.
The Rizex platform will provide every gamer a chance to participate in eSport tournaments. Rizex will host tournaments on the Tron blockchain complete with prizes which will be distributed to the winning players at the end of each tournament. To enter the tournament, gamers will be required to pay an affordable entry fee.
Initial Game Releases and an Invitation to Game Developers
To start, the platform will initially have 3 games: Chess, Gomoku and Space Explorer. With time, Rizex will release a web SDK (Software Development Kit) for developers to create and monetize their games on the web platform. Additionally, the platform will also release a downloadable Windows application and SDKs for Unity and Unreal Engine. The latter will allow eSports tournaments to be held in video games such as PUBG and Fortnite. More on this can be read in the project’s whitepaper.
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive coming to Tron?
When asked about the future plans for the project, the founder and CEO, Giorgi Tskhovrebadze, stated that his team is currently in the process of putting together a demo of a Counterstrike Global Offensive tournament via the Rizex platform.
Giorgi went on to elaborate:
It will be possible to play competitive 5v5 and 2v2 wingman in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive which is the “standard” of an eSports game (it is the top streamed Esports game and also recently became free to play). Players will join and make selections such as choosing a map(via voting), assigning teams, and confirming the match. At this point, they will pay entry fees and the server join info will appear. After the match ends in CS GO (on our server), the server pulls match info (stats, winner, etc) and distributes prizes to the winners. If players on a team are made up with matchmaking (individual gamers searching for a match), prize will be split evenly for each team member in the winning team. If it is a registered team on a platform, they can choose to receive it on a separate team account which would also add a mining bonus to encourage formation of new eSports teams. We’re working on this right now and planning a livestream in the near future demonstrating it.
Why Choose TRON
Tron has constantly proven itself as being one of the fastest and most efficient blockchain networks in existence. The network handles up to 2,000 transactions per second. This type of throughput is far greater than the popular networks of Bitcoin and Ethereum. Additionally, transactions on the Tron network cost very little. It is these two qualities of speed and transaction affordability that attracted the team at Rizex towards Tron.
The RIZEX ICO
To fund the development of the project, the team at Rizex will be carrying out an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) on the 20th of August this year. The team has set a hard cap of 15,000,000 TRX (~$300,000). The soft cap will be 2 million TRX. The ICO will distribute 500,000,000 RZX to investors and 1 RZX will be valued at 0.03 TRX.
Participants must have a Tronscan supported wallet such as TronLink or Ledger. The token sale will be held on Tronscan through the following link: tronscan.org/#/token/1002583.
