South Beach has always been my playground. One of the only places in the US, alongside NYC and Las Vegas, where you can go out on a weekend until the wee hours of the morning. Those days are long gone for me, but now I have another reason to hang out on Lincoln Road. The South Beach scene has always been heavily reliant on tourism as its survival source. But that is now changing. South Beach, along with Miami as a whole, now has a growing tech scene that seems to be adding to its diversity. Just look at the numerous WeWork locations popping up all around the city. For those that do not know, WeWork is an 8 year old company focusing on coworking and shared office space. This is not a mom and pops outlet, this is a $35 billion dollar company. Yes, starts with a B! Miami is now home to 5 of their shared work space habitats. Why? Because there is a market.

WeWork Changing the Workspace

Imagine being in an environment with like minded people who are all trying to grow a business. Can collaboration between CEOs create new ideas, partnerships, and accelerate growth? I definitely think so. And the growth that this 8 year old company has had demonstrates that I am not alone. If you take a quick peek at their website, they state the following:

WeWork is a global network of workspaces where companies and people grow together. We transform buildings into dynamic environments for creativity, focus, and connection. More than just the best place to work, though, this is a movement toward humanizing work.

Blockchain Entering the Workspace

The blockchain industry is a relatively new industry. In fact, there are many developers who have no clue what blockchain technology is, nor how it can impact their society. This is where we come in. Tron Spark, just like the rest of the Tron community, wants to bring blockchain to the masses. What better way than collaborating with brick and mortar businesses focusing on start-up companies. This would be a win-win situation for all parties involved.

Tron Spark Partners with WeWork

Tron Spark entered a partnership with WeWork several weeks ago. In a collaborative effort, we will be hosting a Tron Meetup in the heart of South Beach on Decenber 4th. The event will take place at the Lincoln Road WeWork location. Please see video below:

As part of the partnership, WeWork will have full access to the meet and will be able to network with the Tron community. Like I said, this is a win-win situation for all involved. WeWork has many startups and new entrepreneurs within their network. It only makes sense to start by introducing blockchain to them.

The South Beach Meet

Tron, WeWork, and Tron Spark will all be present at this event. The event will take place at the Lincoln Road WeWork location in South Beach on December 4th, 2018. Tron Foundation will be flying in a team of engineers from their San Francisco office in order to meet and mingle with us, demonstrate developer tools, and showcase the capabilities of the TRON protocol. If you are a developer looking to get into the blockchain space in its early dapp stages, this is the opportunity for you. Not to mention that Tron is one of the largest blockchain projects in the world with daily transactions surpassing 1.5 million a day.

This is a 100% free event! Food and beverages will also be provided at this event. And keep a lookout for cool Tron swag as there will be some freebies given out. One thing though, space is limited so make sure to RSVP. This will allow our team to handle the logistics and make this the best event possible.

We look forward to seeing you in South Beach!
