ETHS and ETHW Explained

Ethereum, the 2nd most popular cryptocurrency in the world has recently had an upgrade dubbed “The Merge” which is the transition between the current proof-of-work consensus mechanism with a more eco-friendly, efficient, and secure proof-of-stake consensus mechanism.

This recent Ethereum upgrade has led to the launching of the future ETH fork tokens, the ETHS (ETH2, Ethereum PoS) and ETHW (ETH1, Ethereum PoW).

After a few hours, Poloniex announced the issuance of the TRON-based ETHS and ETHW. As listed on their blog, they have provided the benefits of the TRON-based ETHS and ETHW:

  • ETHS and ETHW will be able to be used on different trading platforms, which facilitates their deposits, withdrawals, and trading across exchanges.
  • Trading addresses of ETHS and ETHW are publicly available, making the tokens safe and credible.
  • ETHS and ETHW are supported by Poloniex, where users can swap the tokens for ETH and make deposits and withdrawals as they want
