Asides from the USDT (TRC20) and TRX, Kraken support the following cryptocurrencies:
Ethereum (ETH), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Monero (XMR), Dash (DASH), Litecoin (LTC), Ripple (XRP), Stellar/Lumens (XLM), Ethereum Classic (ETC), Augur REP tokens (REP), ICONOMI (ICN), Melon (MLN), Zcash (ZEC), Dogecoin (XDG), Tether (USDT), Gnosis (GNO), and EOS (EOS).
What is USDT (TRC-20)?
USDT (TRC-20) is a U.S. dollar-pegged stablecoin issued by Tether on the TRON blockchain and it is one of the most popular coins asides from BTCTRON, ETHTRON and TRC20-TUSD. It also uses a TRON address for deposits and withdrawals which takes place on the TRON blockchain.
The token is tied to the USD on a 1:1 ratio, which makes it a lot less volatile than other cryptocurrencies.
With the listing of USDT (TRC-20) on Kraken, more users would be able to benefit from the amazing features of the TRON-based USDT such as real-time transcations with no handling fees and this could give way for more TRON-based stablecoins in many cryptocurrency exchanges in the near future. Who knows, maybe the TRC20-DOGE would be the next in line to be listed on the biggest cryptocurrency exchanges in the world.
