Tron is known for acquiring blockchain-based companies and recently, Steemit has been included in the TRON family. For you who’s not aware of Steemit, it is a blockchain-based social media platform that rewards their content creators with STEEM token – which is the native cryptocurrency of its blockchain.
As announced by Steemit about its “strategic partnership” with Tron which includes bringing Steem Dapps and users of Tron. See Ned Scott’s tweet below:
Steemitans and Twitterers, after four beautiful years, I have sold Steemit to @justinsuntron. AMA tomorrow at 9am PT. https://t.co/ZlCKRZbq3L https://t.co/XOCjyjd0TQ

Justin Sun also showed enthusiasm and his feedback towards the acquisition in a Medium post, that
“We are very excited to welcome Steemit into the TRON ecosystem… Together we will usher in a new era of decentralized social networking.”
Steemit recently set up a shop on the TRON network after the acquisition. As for now, a lot of questions are still yet to be answered for the plans of both companies, but this move will be strategic, as Steemits addition into the TRON platform, it will improve retail adoption of blockchain and cryptocurrency through the partnership of both companies.
Would this be a good move for TRON? Only time will tell but the future looks bright for Steemit’s addition to the family. Check back for more updates on TronSpark.
