With TRON 4.0 successfully launched last week, the team at TRON Foundation has continued to grow steadily and make their mark in the cryptocurrency industry. Last month, the hardworking guys at TRON have achieved multiple milestones, and here’s a recap of their amazing last month.

TRX listed here, there and everywhere

TRON Foundation started June on the right track with several partnerships with different companies and cryptocurrency exchanges, starting with Travala, a block-chain based travel booking platform has made TRX available to book for your next travel trip. TRX can be used to book hotels on their website last month.

Asides from booking trips with TRX, it was listed with exchanges such as RightBTC, Swapzone, and Meconcash wallet. BTT is also available for trading in WazirX, India’s leading cryptocurrency exchange listed BTT, after listing TRX last April.

TRX Hybrid contract was also made available for BiKi users and TRX can be used as a margin to trade BTC/USDT Hybrid Contract with profit/loss settlement in TRX, amazing right?

2nd-year anniversary of TRON and JST Airdrop

JUST Foundation processed the 2nd JST airdrop to TRX holders and it has successfully completed last June 20th and 237,600,000 JST was offered to TRX holders, corresponding to 2.4% of the total supply.

The airdrop lasted approximately 72 hours, depending on the total number of eligible recipients, network load, and other factors that may affect the airdrop program. After the 2nd JST airdrop done to TRX holders, TRON Foundation also celebrated its 2nd year anniversary since launching from the mainnet two-years ago.

In the span of two years, TRON Foundation has more than 850 notes globally, over 6 million total accounts, over 20 million block height, over 750 Dapps, and still growing on a daily basis.

This just shows how successful the TRON Foundation is and in just two years, they have continued to grow bigger and bigger.

Moving forward with TRON 4.0

The recent launch of TRON 4.0 is a major upgrade from the previous one and it is a move forward to a better future with TRON Foundation.

It allows the use of an advanced privacy feature called zk-SNARKs. This is also the first time that zk-SNARKs will be implemented on a blockchain-powered by smart-contracts.

There have been key features that have been added to TRON 4.0 such as the TRONZ Smart Contract Privacy Protocol – a first smart contract privacy protocol supported by a virtual machine and TPOS Consensus Mechanism – an upgraded mechanism and combining the advantages of DPoS and PBFT, which reduced the block confirmation time from 57 seconds to 3 seconds.

The new TRON 4.0 comes at an exciting time for smart contract blockchain platforms and we look forward to what’s in store for the TRON Foundation this month.
