What are the new features of GreatVoyage-v4.6.0 (Socrates)?
The core features added to this latest update from TRON are the optimization of the delegate relationship index structure which aims to optimize the account index storage structure of resource delegating, this also improves transaction execution performance and throughput.
There is also an added transaction memo fee proposal which will reduce the number of low-value transactions, and will be used for the improvement of the security and reliability of the TRON blockchain.
Other core features added are the optimized reward algorithm proposal which reduces the time-consuming of reward calculation and the upgraded checkpoint mechanism to v2 in the database module which is a proposed solution for an inconsistent TRON database when the system shut down unintentionally.
In addition to the mentioned core features added above, there is also optimization for the Kademlia algorithm for the network module and the block production priority between active and backup nodes.
Lastly, the other changes added to this update are the following:
- Merge ArchiveManifest.jar into Toolkit.jar
- Add Prometheus metrics for the network module
- Add the — help command option
- Optimize LiteFullNodeTool.jar
