BitTorrent, the largest decentralized P2P communications protocol recently upgraded its BitTorrent Bridge which allows users to transfer digital assets easily from one chain to another.

Holders of BTT, TRX, NFT, USDD, and WIN would conveniently transfer their crypto between BitTorrent, TRON, BSC, and Ethereum networks using the BitTorrent Bridge.

BitTorrent Bridge eliminates the complicated process of users transferring one asset to another exchange just for them to have a specific token or coin on their preferred network.

Currently, the heterogeneous cross-chain bridge supports the cross-chain transfers of BTT, TRX, JST, NFT, SUN, USDD, and WIN.

What is BitTorrent?

BitTorrent is based in San Francisco and was founded on September 22, 2004, by Bram Cohen and Ashwin Navin. It is the largest decentralized P2P communications protocol for distributing data and large files over the Internet.

In 2018, BitTorrent was acquired by TRON Foundation and continued to provide support for their BitTorrent and uTorrent clients.

Last December, BitTorrent announced that they are launching the first scalable heterogeneous cross-chain interoperability protocol called BitTorrent Chain and this has resulted in the BTT redenomination plan that led to the creation of the BTTC which was the new native token of the BitTorrent platform.

The BTT redenomination plan redenominated old BTT with a swapping ratio of 1:1000.
