OKEx, one of the leading crypto exchanges in the world has announced that they would be supporting the TRON-based USD Coin and this was just a week after Binance announced that they would be also supporting the same stablecoin on their exchange.

TRC20-USDC has been one of the most popular stablecoins on the TRON blockchain and it is one of the Big Four TRON-based stablecoins alongside the USDT, USDJ, and TUSD.

The TRON-based USDC has been praised by the community for its low fees and fast transaction speeds.

Since the recent announcement of the world’s largest crypto exchange, Binance that they will be adding support for the said stablecoin on their platform, we did expect to see more leading crypto exchanges to do the same thing and in just a week, here comes OKEx supporting TRC20-USDC.

What is OKEx?

OKEx is one of the leading digital assets exchanges in the world and the Seychelles-based cryptocurrency exchange was founded in 2017.

The crypto exchange has been providing advanced financial services to traders globally using their blockchain technology and currently caters to over a million users in 100 countries.

OKEx has a wide range of supported coins, tokens and focuses primarily on security to continue providing a safe, reliable, and stable environment for cryptocurrency trading via the web interface and mobile app by adopting GSLB and distributed server clusters.

What is USDC?

USDC is a digital stablecoin that is pegged to the USD and it was founded by Circle, a global financial technology firm and the cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase.

USD Coin is managed by a consortium called Centre, which is an open-source technology project by Circle and Coinbase.

USDC was first announced in May of 2018 and was launched in September of the same year.

Asides from the TRON blockchain, USDC works with Ethereum, Stellar, Algorand, Avalanche, Solana, and Hedera Hashgraph systems.

In just a matter of weeks, were able to see two leading crypto exchanges announcing support to the TRON-based USDC and again, expect to see more of these TRC20 on more leading exchanges soon.
