TRON Foundation: 2021 Global Defi Hackathon Program

TRON Foundation announced their this year’s Global DeFi Developer Hackathon program and it encourages developers to create DeFi projects under the TRON network.

In this way, the program will promote the growth of the TRON DeFi ecosystem and it will encourage more entrepreneurs, partners, and developers to create DeFi projects under TRON. There will be a total bounty prize of $10 Million USD that would be shared with all of the selected winners on the final review.

What is Global Defi Hackathon Progam?

The 2021 Global Defi Hackathon is this year’s program for development teams to create and develop DeFi projects on the TRON network. There are different rules that the developers should follow in order to be selected for this program and they are advised to use tools such as JustSwap, JustLink, and TronGrid, just to name a few.

Lending
Protocol Interfaces
Stablecoin
Mining
DEX
Infrastructure
Insurance
Payment
NFT
Analysis & Visualization

Development teams are advised to register from February 5th up to the 28th and they would undergo a pre-screening process from March 1st until the 7th. Once screened, they would start developing their DeFi projects from March 8th to May 1st. Then they will undergo a final review of which DeFi project from May 2nd until the 8th.

The Global Defi Hackathon Program has an aggregate bounty of $10 Million USD. The first prize for the top development team will receive $1 Million USD which would be shared by 5 winners and another $1 Million USD for the second price which is shared by 10 winners.

Asides from the first and second place prize, there would be also cash prices for Justin’s Incentive and Tron Special Prize.

TRON’s DeFi this year would be bigger than 2020

The program by TRON Foundation will not only push development teams to create and develop projects on the TRON Network, but it also creates opportunities for unheard talents to make their marks on the DeFi industry.

Developers would be able to bring different ideas into TRON and develop technologies that weren’t added yet or make TRON’s DeFi better for the community.
